In her presentation, Dr Egert will address the challenges faced by DB Fernverkehr AG, particularly in relation to its traditional time series and reordering approach to spare parts planning. This approach is proving inadequate to manage new parts for new train series as well as complex repair lifecycles of major components.
Dr Egert will highlight the most exciting steps in her journey using her AI toolkit to help DB Fernverkehr achieve its economic availability targets for stock levels in line with its Strong Rail initiative.
